First Blog Post EVER!!!

Okay well, I guess I'll start by introducing myself, my name is Lisa and I'm a 22 year old college student @ SUNY Cortland. My blog title is Elle Bee's Sporadic Space because my posts, for the most part, will be sporadic- that's just how my mind works. Elle Bee is a play on my initials, LB; I don't know I've just always liked it.

I am new to the blogging scene, I've been asked to create a blog for my Writing in the Digital Age class (an online course). As I've recently joined Twitter and LinkedIn I am also, now, apart of this fine online community and I'm excited to get my hands dirty. I'm studying Public Relations and Advertising and in May, when I graduate, I hope to land a position in either field. I think joining social networking sites like blogger, twitter, linkedin, and facebook will help me advance my knowledge of modern technology and new ways of communicating.

Side Note: Just watched Revolutionary Road & Slumdog Millionaire and I cannot begin to explain the feeling i get after having watched a masterly crafted piece of film- there's nothing like it. Revolutionary Road shows the unraveling of a marriage, the unraveling of love in the 1950's of America. Slumdog millionaire is a journey of two young lovers struggling to hang onto one another as they are constantly separated by the circumstances of life in India. Both films evoke sadness, sometimes excruciating sadness and then at times pure satisfaction and happiness- kind of like the rollercoaster of life I guess.

K, I should probably get back to work, i just couldn't go without having discussed those films--god i wanna watch them RIGHT NOW!!
