Bored in the Library

Hey, it's been a while so I figured I'd write something. However, as usual, I don't have much to say at least not anything of importance. It was St. Patty's day yesterday and my-oh-my was this campus bustling!!! I walked to class at 10:15 a.m. and my neighbors across the street were already playing beer pong. I couldn't drink that early if you made me!!! At least wait till noon, i mean come on. The engery students put into their St. Patty's day "get up" was no surprise. I love the enthusiasm students have in holidays that represent nothing other than binge drinking, it truly is in college fashion. I too participated in the events of the drinking Irish but shortly have 7 p.m. I sliced open my big toe on a sharp piece of metal sticking up out of our kitchen floor. OUCH!!!! After that I was condemned to my bedroom where I proceeded to watch Benjamin Button where I was continuously interrupted by loud drunks in the street or roommates who needed assistance. The roommates I of course attended too, as they attended to me while my toe was gushing bright red puddles of blood, but the drunks in the street i have no patience for- unless i'm one of them, but i wasn't. Needless to say my St. Pattys day didn't end up how i had anticipated but strangely enough im glad it didn't. Instead of coming in at 2 a.m., binge eating before passing out unconsciously, I was in bed by 8:30 p.m. cuddled up in my pj's till 9 this morning, no hangover, no lingering vodka on my breath, just a fresh mind and a broken toe...woo hoo go St. Patrick!!!
